I had set my auto archieve to 1 month and I am trying to retrieve some old
emails to confirm something. I am unable to open it. What program can I use
or how do I do it

Thanks
WG

In Outlook's main menu, use the File | Open | Outlook Data File command.

I went there and it said Access denied. do not have permission rquired for

What does "went there" mean and what did you click to obtain the error?

Sue,
I just started using auto archive in OUTLOOK 2007 and can find where they
are stored but can't open/retrieve thm to put them back in my online storage.
How can i retreive my archived emails and work with them again?

Seems a bit strange to hijack another post with a question, the answer to
which was given in the post you hijacked

DL
I tried and found where the emails were stored but like I said I cannot put
them back into my online storage mailboxes.
Ps the answer that was given only identified where they were stored. I
could not find where the thread answered how to retreive them back into
online storage.

What exactly do you mean by "online storage"?

Gordon,
By 'online storage' I mean back into my email folders in the navigation
pane. I simply want to retreive my auto-archived emails back into my regular
email folders

Then do File-Open-Outlook Data file and navigate to where you put the file.
When the file has been opened in Outlook, drag and drop the emails from the
archive file to the current folders...

Gordon,
When I, File-Open-Outlook data file three thing can be done and here's what
I did and the results 1) single right clicking on the file shows there are
256kb of data in the file; 2) single left clicking the file I think changes
where the auto-archive files will be stored; and 3) double left clicking on
the file puts it in my Navigation pane but NO data ie ZEROkb transfers?
I do not understand what I am to drag and drop? What do I drag, the file?
Where do I drop it, the Navigation pane?

Gordon,
When the file has been opened in Outlook I can not seem to open the file
regardless of what I do. This maybe the crux of the problem. How do you open
the file? Single clicking on it move it to the auto-archive store target and
double clicking move it to the navigation pane with not associated data!

256 kb is an EMPTY pst file. Either your archiving is not working, or there
are other pst files existing in different locations on your HDD. Do a search
for *.pst, enabling hidden files in the search.
