How do I open Outlook 2007 in safe mode?

I've been having lots of problems with Outlook 2007 "not responding." I've
been advised to open it in safe mode, but with vista there's no "Run" option
on the start menu and I can't figure out how to start in safe mode without
that. This is probably a simple thing, but I'm stumped. Thanks for your
help.

Use a Microsoft Office program in User-Initiated Safe mode:

Microsoft Outlook newsgroups:
microsoft.public.outlook.*

The simple answer is to hold down the ctrl key while you start Outlook 2007.
You have to keep the key down until Outlook starts and it will tell you it is
in "Safe Mode."
