How do I open an access Database file sent in e-mail?

The home office is trying to send me a DB file "CUST_2.mdb" and outlook will
not
pass it through. They are both written in Office Pro 2000. How do I open
this file?
Is there a difference between Export/Import and e-mail as attached that I
should be aware of?

Thanks for the help

Provide more info about "Outlook won't pass it through". Is Outlook deleting
the attachment? Is Outlook refusing to let you access/open the attachment?
Is Outlook refusing to let you save the file to your computer?

I don't use Outlook, preferring Outlook Express, but perhaps they are
similar in this respect. OE has a setting in Tools | Options | Security tab
that can be checked / unchecked for "Do not allow attachments to be saved or
opened that potentially could be a virus." Likely a similar setting in
Outlook needs to be "turned off". You might want to ask more questions in an
Outlook newsgroup.

Try having the sender ZIP the file before sending it as an attachment...
