i have a small home network system and i was wondering if maby there was a
way to network my cd-burner so that i can use it from one of my other 4
computers in the house. thanx for the help

You can share a CD-ROM the way you share a Hard Drive, and use the CD-ROM
for playing from anywhere on the Network.

Burning however might be tricky since Burners need to cache the file before
burning, and depending on your Network it might be slow, and result with
coasters.

If you are using Nero log to their site they have a special Network Add-On.

I found that the best way to burn is to transfer the files that need to be
burned over the Network to the Computer with the burner and burn the CD
there.

You can also control the Burner remotely by using Windows Remote Desktop or
a VNC program.

Example of VNC program: http://www.ezlan.net/vnc.html

Jack (MVP-Networking).
