How do i move messages from inbox into my personal folders

Each time i try to move my messages from inbox into my personal folders i get
error mesgaes of "can't move item"
 
The Inbox 'is' a subfolder of Personal Folders, so what exactly are you
trying to do?

What version of Outlook and how are you trying to move them? What is the
EXACT text of the error?
