how do I move all of my outlook files,contact, diary to a new pc

I have just bought a new laptop and want to move all of my outloook files to
my new machine. When I have tried to back-up and re-open I get the message
that the back-up is read only.

Where did you back it up to - a read-only media? You cannot open it from
there; copy it back to your HD, uncheck the read-only option, then open
it with Outlook.
