How do I make the Preview Pane appear in Search?

Hi all, I have seen on another Vista machine when using the Start button
Search field, which opens the results in another window, that a Preview Pane
appears in the right of the Search results window, showing previews of
documents such as emails.

On my machine however I cannot for the life of me find a way to get this
pane to appear. Any ideas?

Hi,

No matter if you’re in a Search results window or a folder window, as long
as you are in a Windows Explorer window the same rules apply regarding the
ability to display panes. Organize> Layout > choose Preview Pane. Sometimes
the file or folder that you highlight will say “no preview available†in the
Preview pane.
