How do I make powerpoint run without mixing up slides?

I downloaded Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader to use in my class. It is set
up so that we just type in questions, answers, etc. But when I play the
slideshow, the slides don't follow the way they are suppose to and the first
board where you pick your question keeps erasing during the slide show. I
have no idea what to do?? Help!
