how do i make an imported doc fill the page all the way across

ive imported a plain text doc into word, its 400 pages long but only takes up
half of each page,ive tried playing around with everything i can to try and
make the words fill each line but to no avail, is there anyway to do this for
the whole doc apart from going to each line and then back spacing? lol that
would take me weeks !!!
