In the 1967 film "Fitzwilly" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061669/), part of
the plot involves a "Dictionary for Dopes", containing all the phonetic
misspellings of words. It's needed because people who can't spell therefore
can't look up words in standard dictionaries.
