How do I maintain patches on PCs that have MS Outlook ?

A

Al Dykes

Where do I get securiy patches for Outlook 2k/xp
and what's the best way to keep a fewe dozen
machines updated ?

Are Outlook fixes ever included in XP or w2k patches ?

Thanks

Office has it's own patches and are not included in Windows XP/Windows 2000
servicepacks.

The easiest way and cheapest way to deploy patches in a Windows 2000/2003
domain is to use Group policies. Here you can configure Software Deployment.
You'll need to create an administrative installationpoint first.

This URL is about slipstreaming patches into a distro and is specific to
Office XP, right ? I'm looking for lists of updates to Office2k and office XP
and couldn't find it on your otherwise interesting site.

Thanks

Hi Al,

The steps are quite the same although they discuss Office XP.
The link on my site points the administrative installs of Office XP and from
there you can find the ones for Office 2000 as well.

Here is the link anyway ;-)
