How do I look at recieved pictures from my contacts?

Whenever I recieve e-mail with pictures from my contacts in outlook 2003, I'm
not able to see them. All is shown is a red X in the upper left corner of the
box. When I click on it, nothing shows up except the red X. Some email
pictures I can see but some I can not, why?

Thanks Dave, I've learned more about the program, however I'm still having
problems opening up some of the pictures. I'll guess I'll have to ask the
sender to resend them.
