How do I link an Excel Data Base to a Visio Floor Plan?

I am trying to get a database of employees created in Excel to a Visio Floor
Plan seating arragement, so when employees change the seating will be
automatically updated. Thanks for the help!

Using
Microsoft Viso Pro 2003
Microsoft Excel 2002
 
The link is created in Visio to the required workbook/cell, however,
this can be a slow process each time you open the Visio document if
your Excel workbook is on a different part of a network.
