I want to have my content authors to "write" and deposit their story at a
predetermined network location.

Then I want my webpage to have OLE capability (just like Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, etc) and pickup and display the story when the page is opened.

How do I do this?

Not possible in the way you would like. You can create a frameset or IFrame that then links to a
specific page, that will then always be displayed when the frameset or IFrame is loaded.

Web sites do not have OLE capabilities.

The procedure is easy. In your web page, go to Insert Hyperlink, choose the word
document. Click "OK". Done.

Make sure you import the word file first.

Publish both files to the server.

Test it - click the link and the word doc should open in MS Word on your system -
it depends on the user having word - please note this.

You can get a "Word Viewer" from Microsoft.com for free (just like the acrobat
PDF reader) and you might want to put a link to it seeing that not everyone will
have MS Word.
