how do i know if i have the update 823980
where do i look to see if its installed please e

If you have installed the MS-updates regularly (which you should have done),
then you ought to have it.
 
Look in control panel/add remove programs.
You will see it there "KB823980"
 
Dave, if you go to Windows Update and click the View Installation History
and 823980 shows up there then you're covered. Otherwise, check under
Critical Updates and download it.

will be a line there
