How do i know if i have 32 or 64 bit xp??

You most likely have a 32-bit operating system. (most common when buying a
machine from Dell, Gateway, .etc with a Pentium 4 processor.)

Most certainly this is true, as the MVP said, but if you wanna graphic on
this, right clcik on My Computer icon and select Properties.. On that spot
you will see your total RAM and your Windows version info etc....If it shows
nothing about a (64-bit Operating system) then it surely is a 32...

If you had the 64 bit version of XP, you would know it already. This version
only works on special computer systems that are made for this version.

Greetings --

If you have to ask, you're almost definitely running the 32-bit
version of WinXP. (I'm not trying to be facetious; I'm sure you'd
have noticed paying several thousand dollars more for the Itanium or
Itanium II CPU required to run the 64-bit version of WinXP Pro.)
There is no 64-bit version of WinXP Home.

Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Overview

To verify for yourself, Click Start > Run, type in "Winver" and
press <Enter>. If the resulting dialog box does not _explicitly_
state that you have "Windows XP 64-Bit Edition," then you have a
32-bit OS.

Actually... If you are even asking this question, then I would say in
99.99% of the cases you have the 32 bit version.
