How do I keep Outlook from automatically sending from a secondary.

I have multiple e-mail accounts set up in my Outlook. When I try to send an
e-mail from my primary account, sometimes sending doesn't work, and Outlook
automatically sends from my secondary account (Gmail), usually succesfully.
However, I don't want Outlook to do this. If I'm sending from my school
account, there are plenty of times that I don't want the message to leave
from Gmail instead. Is there a way to keep Outlook from doing this?

You didn't even post your Outlook version, let alone the steps you are using
to send messages.

Thanks for the prompt reply and request for more information, though I would
argue that it could have been a little more cordial. Anyway, here's the info
you need (straight from my impenetrable mind):

I'm using Outlook 2003. I mistakenly assumed that this forum was
specifically for Outlook 2003. Now I know. I use Windows XP, and I have all
the latest Office and Windows Updates.

To send a message, I compose the e-mail, then click "send." Sometimes I
check "accounts" first to make sure that my school account "AU Mail" is
selected, but since it's the default, I know it will be. My three e-mail
accounts are AU Mail (an IMAP server), GMail (a POP account), and Hotmail (an
HTTP account). There are sometimes when the AU Mail server is having
provblems and for whatever reason doesn't let me send. However, instead of
notifying me of this, Outlook instead just sends the e-mail through GMail.
Most of the time, this isn't a big problem, but there are times when it's an
annoyance, and I feel like I should be able to control it.

Is there any more information you need?

Odd. I can't reproduce that. If my designated account is not active, the
message remains in my Outbox until the accent is functioning again and I get
an error message. The only difference is that I've never tried to mix three
transport types in the same profile.
I'll see if anyone else can repro this.

Diane remembered this one. Seems this is a bug in Outlook 2003 that has
affected a few users (I still can't reproduce it on my version). That's why
Outlook version and setup is essential when you post questions.
