How do I keep Office Picture Manager?

Just last week I purchased a new laptop with XP Home pre-installed. I
immediately downloaded and installed SP2. I noticed that SP2 gave me Office
Picture Manager when I previously installed it in two of my other systems. My
new laptop came with Office 2003 trial version installed and it will
self-destruct after Nov 30. It looks as if it will take my Office Picture
Manager with it. Is there a way I can retain the OPM? Can I (should I)
reinstall SP2 over top?

What do you mean by " . . . SP2 gave me Office Picture Manager . . .?

Are you saying that installing sp2 adds additional Microsoft applications to ones system?

Hi:

I could be wrong, but it is my knowledge that SP2 did not give you Office
Picture Manager (although many of us would want it :) ), it is the trial
version of the Office 2003.

I have not used trail version so I don't know if Office 2003 will take it
away or not when it is expired, but my assumption is that it will.

Re-install SP2 or not may not have any effect on it.

Hope this will help.

I didn't have OPM prior to the installation of SP2 so where did it come from?
I did have Frontpage 2003 installed in my other system prior to the
installation of SP2 and since that is an Office product SP2 may have then
allowed OPM to be installed. I was wrong about OPM showing up in both my
other systems... seems it only came to be in just the one w/Frontpage 2003 in
it and OPM is not the trial version as it is in my new laptop - it actually
says it is registered to me and already activated. I'm going to temp install
Frontpage in my laptop just to see if thats where it came from. I'll let you
know.

You are correct sir (or madame)! OPM did not come from SP2. It did indeed
come from my installation of Frontpage 2003. I have verified this by
temporarily installing Frontpage in my newest system. OPM now indicates that
it is "activated". Thanks for the input.
