How do I keep my web pages from closing?

How do I set up my web pages to keep them from closing when I click on a link
that I have inserted?
 
Set the link to open in a new window.
Right click the link, select Hyperlink properties, click the Target Frame button and select New
Window.

However, my suggestiong (without actually seeing your site):

It may not be closing, just the link to another page is opening a new browser
session/window.

1) the other window/your site is probably behind the one that just opens the
linked page/site.

2) the linked page/site is opening in the same window, so the linked page/site is
just opening in the *same* browser window, therefore is just going to the site
you've linked to. Press the browser's "back" button to retrace your steps to
your site.

OR

do you mean, somehow the whole browser is shutting down?
