how do i keep fonts when saving word doc as a pdf?

i've got only one imported font on my pc ... but when I try to save a Word
document as a pdf, it goes missing. I've tried embedding it in
Tools/Options/Save but that doesn't make any difference.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?
 
Not a Word problem. You must choose to embed the imported font
in your PDF conversion program. For example, in Adobe Acrobat
5.0, click on File | Print | Printer name: Acrobat PDFWriter |
Properties | Font Embedding, choose the font(s) to embed, and
click on Okay.
 
Clarification... For example, if you are using Adobe Acrobat 5.0
as your PDF conversion program, then in Word, click on File |
Print | Printer name: Acrobat PDFWriter | Properties | Font
Embedding, choose the font(s) to embed, and click on Okay.
