How do I <insert task Microsoft did not give us> ???

I've seen a lot of requests for software that would logically be included with an operating system, but rarely never is. So I'd like to give you folks a short list of the software/sites that covers pretty much all these requests.


- Nirsoft - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/index.html
This guy is flat out awesome. He delivers more utilities then anyone could ever ask for, completely free, and almost always 'stand alone' (requires no 'installation', and can be run from anywhere).

From password recovery, to network monitoring, to system examination... this guy really gives us all the tools Microsoft should have implemented long ago (And even some that Microsoft would never implement).

Much like Nirsoft, smaller library of utils, but even some of the utils that 'match' Nir's are worth checking out, as they offer different features. Once again, freeware and stand alone.
