How do I insert a music file to power point slide show?

I try to insert sound from insert sound files from power point when I go to
media player it shows the files as empty? How do I get the file from
somewhere on my computer to power point for a slide show.

You're asking your question in the wrong place. Perhaps the Microsoft
website misled you - this newsgroup is for the database software
Microsoft Access.

I'd suggest reposting the question in a PowerPoint newsgroup. Scroll
down the list of subject areas on the left of the screen.
