How do I Import my entire web from the server to Frontpage

Open the site in Frontpage and Publish it to a local drive, then open
and work on the local copy and Publish it back when you are ready.

Is this because you lose something if you import as opposed to publish?

Yes, when you import you only get the what would normal be view in a browser, so you loose the
navigation structure, themes structure, and server-side scripting code, etc.

that normally would "qualify" for import.

themes, or an ISP without FP extensions?

Thank you. If you can only get files TO the server by ftp, should you
be able to open the online site in FP and publish FROM the server?

I can't access the site myself and I am giving directions to someone
else, so I want to be sure that I don't tell her anything that won't
work and will be confusing.

Thank you for clearing that up. It looks as if files can be ftp'd with
Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer both open at the same time. IE
on the website and WE showing the web folder on the hard drive, then
drag and drop the files from the website (which is just a
sub-directory on the ISP's server).

No, you can not open the site on a remote server unless the server has the FP extensions, then you
would be able to publish.
