How do I get the text in front of a watermarked photo to print?

I've used the brochure template from Word 2000 and for the front page have
inserted a photo which I've watermarked. I've superimposed a title in front
of the photo but when I print the brochure the title is missing.

Does the watermark have Behind Text wrapping? Is the title ordinary text or
in a text box?

I used the toolbar button which has grayscale (ticked) and the text is in
black. The text is there on the screen with the photo behind, but I just
can't get it to print! I used the toolbar button which says "behind text"
and the photo is definitely behind the text. I didn't use the text box
option.

This could be a spooler issue, the document is being sent to the printer
before all of the content is actually spooled. Go to Tools/Options/Print and
turn off "Background Printing".

I tried what you suggested Beth but the problem remains. However, I found
that after removing the picture, the text printed which is of no use really
because I want the picture there!

I've just re-created my photo with text on an entirely new page and it
printed perfectly. I then removed the photo & text from the original
brochure template and created a new photo & text in the space but when I
printed, once again the text didn't print. I'm wondering if it could it be
something to do with using the brochure template?

Hi Jenny,

Thanks for the document. :)

Unfortunately I didn't have any problems printing it. The photo and text
over the photo came out fine. What kind of printer are you using? Do you
have another printer you could try?

I've just had a third try at printing the document Beth and, lo & behold, the
text has finally appeared!! This will have to go down as one of those
mysteries in life. Maybe by turning everything off and rebooting, the
problem has fixed itself. Thanks to everyone who's taken an interest in my
dilemma!

This is a fantastic site!

Great news!. Rebooting is always one of my first troubleshooting rules -
surprising how many times that's worked. :-0
