how do I get the email dialog box with how many emails are downloa

I have a newer computer and now my email notification dialog box that used to
appear and tell me how many emails I have downloading from the server and
the progress of them downloading has disappeared and I can't find where to
reactivate it. There is a box that you click on this dialog box that tells
it not to appear again but I haven't clicked it off?
 
Should be able to turn it on with Outlook Tools/Send and Receive
Settings/Show Progress.
 
When I go to tools options send and receive the only option there is
"Internet e-mail" Does this mean that it isn't installed?
