How do I get support for Vista if my problem is with installation and you
need to get it installed to get the Product Identification Number which you
need to get the support?

Is your Vista license an OEM license (comes with new computer, usually), an
Open License (corporate, usually), or a retail-off-the-shelf license
(upgraders, usually)? Support differs for each of these.

Sorry I am butting in here but it won't let me post a new question-just reply
to an existing string. I want to e mail microsoft support to enquire about
tiny print in many IE windows but I can't e mail them unless I have a Product
Identification #. If I "let Microsoft locate it" it replies not valid. When I
click on "how to find you PI #" I get error HTTP 403. I wonder where I find
my Product Identification #?

Hi dollard,

You can find the Product ID in system properties, just hit the
WindowsKey+Pause\Break or type 'control system' into the start/search
prompt. The ID is listed under activation.
