How do I get started on FrontPage 2003

I am completely new to Website construction. I have bought FrontPage 2003,
but can't see how or where to begin. Assuming I am fortunate enogh to get
going, is there a readily obvious sequence to follow, within the software
displays on the monitor screen.
I have a knowledge of presentation graphics, and desktop publishing, so in
that respect there is probably something iln common with websites.
I should be grateful for any guidance on offer.

Use the Help Files for guidance.

This site is a good tutorial - www.frontpagewiz.com

Otherwise, to start a new site Go to File menu, New > Site. You'll be
presented with a blank page.

FP offers most of what other Office products have in as far as their GUI and
functionality is concerned i.e. tables, drawing tools etc.

Other members of this group may be able to offer alternative tutorials &
books.

There are these new things called BOOKS. They provide valuable
information on a wide variety of subjects, such as designing websites
with FrontPage 2003. You might try that.

Think about what your site is going to be about first, it's purpose
Then you need to plan it.. take a peice of paper and put down the layout you
want and the navigation structure .. this really helps.

Don't use themes, or hover buttons ...

if you have fp03 consider a dwt (dynamic web template) with includes for
menu's
see the below two tutorials for further help on them.
http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/fp_techniques/dwt-1.htm
http://www.outfront.net/tutorials_02/fp_techniques/dwt-2.htm

if your using an earlier version use includes instead of shared borders and
the nav bot.

this might prove useful too

at the frontpage help which tells you how to get started as well.
