My new job includes a computer that the previous operator filled with
games, photo editors, toolbars, etc. It also includes Windows
Messenger. I have looked everywhere and have not found anything that
looks like an uninstaller. Opening Windows Messenger and looking for an
uninstaller is not an option because opening requires an ID and
password which are not available now. Am I stuck with WM or is there an
alternate method? All ideas, suggestions, and comments will be greatly
appreciated. Thanks, K.

Doug and Phil, Thank You for responding so quickly. When I go to
Outlook Express and go to TOOLS > WINDOWS MESSENGER the WINDOWS
MESSENGER is grayed out. Does that mean anything significant? Thanks, K.

Click on Control Panel/Add & Remove Programs/Add Remove Windows Components.
Remove the checkmark from Windows Messenger.

I just removed it from my PC tonite. Go to Start, Run and paste:

Dll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove
