You can't uninstall it because it's an integral part of Vista. You can,
however, use a different email program and make it the default. Windows
Live Mail Beta will also look after your Hotmail account just fine. It is
designed to eventually replace Windows Mail anyway. http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas
I actually don't need it right now as I have Spamcop pop my Hotmail for me
along with all my other webmail ISP accounts. But it may come in handy some
day.
