Large DOTS have suddenly appeared, between Words, when using Space Bar in
letter writing.
How do I get rid of them?

CTRL+SHIFT+* or toggle the show/hide non-printing characters icon on the
tool bar. It looks sort of like a backward P and an example is likely
appearing at the end of your paragraphs.

And see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/NonPrintChars.htm for some
reasons you might sometimes want to be able to see these nonprinting
characters.
