how do I get rid of the XP dual boot option screen?

Hi all

I have just formatted C: drive & installed XP, all works fine but I still
seem the have the XP dual boot option screen, being that the system now only
has XP on it, I do not require the boot option screen anymore!

Does anyone know which file this is stored in so that I can get rid of it?

Try the following:

Boot from the Windows XP CD, press the key "R" in the setup in order to
start the restoration console. Select your Windows XP installation from the
list, and enter the administrator password. Enter the command "FIXMBR" at the
input prompt and confirm the next question with "y". Finally, use "exit" to
restore the computer.

Click Start, then run, type in msconfig and hit ok. On the boot.ini tab
click on check all boot paths. That should find the one that is no
longer valid and offer to remove it.
