I don't see a box around the cursor when I open a new Word document. If you
set the zoom a little larger, does that make the cursor revert to a normal
shape? (Sometimes, setting the zoom level up/down can fix display
glitches... and what you're describing sounds like a display glitch.)
I don't know what's causing this. The box expands round the text as I type,
but when I get to the bottom of the page I can go no further (Box is around
all the text). It doesn't show when I print or send on the page by
hyperterminal.
Anything else you can suggest?
By the way I have zoom set to 120 percent with Times New Roman 14 pts as I
used to do with Word 2000 without any problems. I'm thinking of ditching Word
2007 and reverting to the old Word system.
Went into styles, normal and somewhere in there I found a reference to
removing box, which I clicked and hey presto! the box disappeared. Thanks for
your interest.
