How do I get Office 2007-Home to open Office 2007-Small Biz docs?

I originally used a 60-day free trial of Office 2007-Small Business Version,
then let that expire due to difficulties with online activation. Instead, I
bought a CD-ROM of Office 2007-Home Premium Version and installed/activated
that. My problem now is that when I try to open programs (primarily in
Excel) that I created in the 60-day trial window, I get a 'BCM Office Add-in'
error message to the effect that there's version incompatibility - my Home
version is having problems working with documents created in Small Business
version. Any ideas on how to achieve version compatibility without having to
buy Office 2007 Small Business?

Hi Mbslone,

As far as I know, this should not happen. I would try removing your Office from
your machine and looking on the MSFT site for the Office removal tool, which
removes all traces of Office left behind after uninstalling. If that has been
done, install your Office CD again, activate it and see if you can use your
files (you should be able to).

Jan Karel,

Many thanks for your advice. Will uninstall, then re-install and see what
transpires. One more question: where's this Office Removal Tool? Can't
seem to find it on the website...

Hi Mbslone,
One more question: where's this Office Removal Tool? Can't
seem to find it on the website...

Well, it looks like my information is a bit outdated, as all I can find is
about an Office 2000 Eraser utility, which I doubt will be of help for 2007. So
maybe I am mistaken on this.

So I'd first try the uninstall/reinstall path.
