How do I get my Windows XP ver. 2 Key

Hello all,

I have the CD I have the case and my ID number. I dont have my Key code.
how can I get it. I didn't keep the paper that has the Key code. How can I
get a copy. I have no windows. I had to reinstall on my computer that the
hard drive was having issues with. Now that I have reinstalled, No key.

Help!!!

Sarah;
Is Windows XP retail?
Did you look on the back of the case?

Is Windows XP OEM?
Look on the computer, usually back or side.
A label about 1" x 3" with the 25 character Product key.

Otherwise for retail contact Microsoft:

If retail, contact the seller.
It is unlikely Microsoft can help with OEM, but if the OEM can not,
try Microsoft for the slim possibility they can help.
