How do I get my sent folder and contacts from Yahoo mail to Outloo

I just got Outlook 2007 and started to set my yahoo mail account. Outlook
has downloaded (and deleted from the server to my disgust) all my inbox, but
not my contacts or my sent folders. How do I get these?

Alternatively, how do I send all the inbox back to yahoo mail and scrap the
whole idea of transfering to outlook? I need to be able to keep all my
messages and contacts both on my laptop and on the internet, as I travel a
lot.

Select the option to leave a copy on the server.

Get back: you would have to mail them

So how do you access the Internet when traveling? If from your laptop, then
you already HAVE access to all your email and contacts - on your laptop! It
doesn't matter in that case whether your email is downloaded and viewed in
Outlook or through a web browser...

Yes, but I don't always have internet access so it helps to have offline
access to eg directions or contact details which are in my Yahoo mail
addressbook at the moment.

Is there a quick way to get my sent messages copied to outlook, and all my
contacts, or will I have to do it the long way by forwarding and copy/paste?

Thanks, I take it I'll have to forward them the long way, there is no easy
way? Surely if outlook 2007 can get my inbox, it can get my sent folder too?
I've looked for this in the menus, but can't find anything.

So in that case you definitely need to use Outlook.

As long as you are using Outlook 2003 or earlier, have a look here:
