I've created links to .pdf documents in Frontpage and they open as an
embedded pdf in explorer. How can I get these links to open in Adobe Acrobat
or Reader??
thanks.. you can reply to (e-mail address removed)

Document handling is done with the user's browser. Some users will download
the file (if they don't have the Adobe Reader plugin installed in their
browser), others will view it that way.

You could make the link open in a new window or frame.

Or, you could rename the files or zip them so they always download (which
forces the user to deal with them afterwards).

You can't control, though what the browser does.

Sorry, not replying individually. These responses help others and this is
not your personal help desk. Plus once someone tells you once and others
see the response, you and they won't waste additional time answering again.

thanks for the reply.. I need the documents to open up in Adobe Reader when
clicked on. All users here have Adobe reader installed on their machines, so
I need the document .pdf to open in Reader when they click on the document
link...Thanks

This is a user controlled funtion of Adobe Reader. Each user would have to
configure the reader on their computer.
