How do I get into "Safe Mode"?!?!?

XP Home Edition

I know, press F8 when you're booting and you will see it in the list.
But it isn't there! These are the options I see when I press F8:

1st Floppy Drive
PM-WDC WD1200BB-00DAAB
SS-ASUS CD-S520/A

What gives? No matter which one I choose, it boots the regular way.
 
Try typing "msconfig" in the run command, assuming it starts the system
configuration utility select the Diagnostic Startup click OK and restart.
