How do I get daily totals from accumulative total in access?

I am creating a database for register sales. All I have is an accumulative
total that I need to break down in daily sales. Please help

Create a totals query:
Select SalesDate, Sum(SaleAmt) as DailyDum From YourTable
Group by SalesDate;

You can then add criteria if you like to select only a single day:
Select SalesDate, Sum(SaleAmt) as DailyDum From YourTable
Where SalesDate = [Enter Sales Date]
Group by SalesDate;
