How do I get "Cooper Black" font in Word 2003?

I recently installed MS Pro Office 2003. The Cooper Black font is supposed
to be included, but it's not showing on the list. I have a college project
which requires this font. Can anyone help?

According to http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx Cooper
Black is/was supplied with Access 97 SR2, Greetings 99, Home Publishing 99,
Office 2000 Premium, Office 97 Small Business Edition SR2, Office 97 SR1a,
Office Professional Edition 2003, PhotoDraw 2000, Picture It! 2000, Picture
It! 2002, Picture It! 98, Publisher 2000, Publisher 97, and Publisher 98, so
you should indeed have it. IIRC, there are several "blocks" of fonts that
can be installed with Office. You may need to rerun setup (Control Panel |
Add/Remove Programs | Microsoft Office System 2003: Change) to add the font
module that was not installed.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply to my post. I reran the
setup but still did not find the font. I finally purchased it online.

Thank you for your reply. The font was nowhere to be found on my media so I
purchased it online. But your information was very helpful.

It will probably be in a .cab file, so you can't just copy it; you have to
install the block of fonts that includes it. After choosing Change in
Add/Remove Programs, you have to check the box for Advanced Customization of
Applications in the Setup dialog, click Next, then select Office Shared
Features | Fonts | Additional TrueType Fonts and make sure it is set as Run
from My Computer.

Thank you so much, Suzanne. That was the answer! Wonder if I can get my
$22.00 back that I paid for that font yesterday .. ha! Thank you for the
detailed explanation. It's great to have access to a knowledge base like
yours.

I'm sorry you're out $22--oh, ye of little faith! I can remember when I
didn't want to pay more than $9.99 for 100 or even 1,000 fonts. I'm now at
the point where $22 doesn't seem too unreasonable to me for a font, even
given the availability of free fonts online, but I haven't actually bought
any fonts in years because, like the Boston ladies with their hats, "I have
my fonts." <g>

Hello - I have just installed the 2003 student edition and need Castellar and
Centaur fonts. I printed your instructions and got as far as "select Office
Shared Features" and then could not find "Fonts" or any of the options from
that point on in your instructions. Can you give me another clue how to get
these 2 fonts which are supposedly included in my new ms office? Thank you.

AFAIK, the Student & Teacher Edition includes all the same fonts as the
Standard version of Office. According to
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/default.aspx, Castellar is
included with Greetings 99, Home Publishing 99, Office 2000 Premium, Office
97 Small Business Edition SR2, Office Professional Edition 2003, PhotoDraw
2000, Picture It! 2000, Picture It! 2002, Picture It! 98, Publisher 2000,
Publisher 98, TrueType Font Pack 2 (note that this says Office 2003 Pro, not
Standard), and Centaur is included with Office 97 Small Business Edition
SR2, Office Professional Edition 2003, Publisher 2000, Publisher 98,
TrueType Font Pack 2 (same note).

You can purchase Castellar from
http://www.ascendercorp.com/msfonts/castellar.html and/or Centaur from
http://www.ascendercorp.com/msfonts/centaur_regular.html.
