How do I get both email boxes to show on the folder list?

I have 2 email accounts set up in Outlook. Only the 1st one (the default)
gets checked during "send receive." It is also the only one that is
represented in the "inbox folder." The missing account is a gmail account. I
followed all the steps from microsoft help & it appears to be correctly
configured. The test account settings runs smoothly.Thanks.

All POP3 accounts (like GMail) get downloaded to the default Inbox folder.
Only HTML (Hotmail) and IMAP accounts get their own folder sets.

By default, any account you add will be included in the "All Accounts"
Send/Receive group, unless you explicitly exclude it. Is that what you did?

Gmail, being a POP account, will use the same folders all the other POP
accounts you have use.

Thanks, but I am still not having success.
There are new emails in the gmail account into Outlook.
Gmail is receiving the tests when I check the set up.
Outlook only shows it is "sending/receiving" from the default account.
any other ideas?
Thanks

I only followed the directions to set up gmail in Outlook provided by this
microsoft site - where I first enabled the gmail account, then configureed
the rest under the tools menu...
Where can I see the "All Accounts" Send/Receive group?

In Outlook, press ALT-CTRL-S to get the Send/Receive Groups dialogue, select
"All Accounts", and click Change.

When I check Group Name:"all Accounts" is highlighted, the Send Receive when
section: online and offline listed. I tried to click on it to attempt an edit
but an "operation failed" warning appears.

I added a hotmail account just to test it & that came through fine - maybe
it is a glitch with gmail.

However - as I continued to check for possible reasons I discovered I can
not send out from Outlook. Incoming not an issue.

No warning boxes come up - it simply acts as if nothing is going on when I
hit send. It ignores the send/receive button as well. I can only close the
window by clicking the x in the upper right corner of window. The email I
draft from outlook then gets stored in the draft section. The email I send
directly from word etc. gets saved in my inbox but with a header - not sent.

Reply from Hotmail is ok. No new email sent from hotmail.

Reply from default email doesn't work. no new email.

when I hit the account button to check which address will send it
"operations failed - fatal error occured in outlook.

Should I just delete them all & try again? If so will all the emails get
wiped out of the inbox?

Thanks for hanging in there with me! J

If this happened to me, I'd start with a new mail profile. You shouldn't
lose any existing data. See http://www.howto-outlook.com/Faq/newprofile.htm
