How do i get back to previous version of windows!?

Hi, i recently upgraded to windows xp and now i am ready to go back to my
previous version of windows but i dont know what to do to get back. A while
ago i did see somewhere an option to go back. I did try system restore but
it doesnt work. PLEASE HELP!!

Not sure why you would think performing a system restore would bring your pc
back to a previous OS. System Restore is used primarily to resolve problems
that occur because of a damaged/corrupt/ or virus ( etc. ) altered registry.

You can uninstall xp from within Safe Mode> control panel>add/remove
programs since you upgraded your computer, presumably from Microsoft
Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, or Windows Millennium Edition.

The normal way to "uninstall" any operating system is to format
the hard drive and install a new OS of your choice.

Only if you performed an upgrade from Win98/Me, elected to backup
the old system files, and didn't convert the partition to NTFS, can
you then boot into Safe Mode and click Start > Control Panel

Add/Remove Programs. All of these conditions must be met for the

uninstall option to be available.

Why are you "ready" to go back to your previous version? XP is far better
than any of the 9x versions and ME. if you are having problems with your
version of XP, post them here and the probability is that someone will have
an answer for you.
