How do I get an MPEG or AVI clip to play in a PPT slide

I have read the directions in Help for Powerpoint, but can't get the movie
clip to play when clicked or automatically. Help?

What happens? Any message?

Try this: Go to Start > Run and type mplay32.exe. That will open the MCI
player. From there open one of your video files and click the Play icon. Does
it play? If so, check the length of the path to the video file. If it's
located in My Documents the path may exceed 128 characters. Move the videos to
C:\Test, for example, and then delete them from the presentation and re-insert
them. Does that make a difference?
