How do I get an individial slide to ignore the Master?

I want to insert an individual slide that is totally different to the master
- can anyone tell me how I can get it to ignore the master slide please?

I found the answer to my question in the below post:

'Subject: change master slide for one slide 9/26/2006 4:18 PM PST'

With that slide up, click "Format", "Background", click the dropdown arrow
and select the "White" color. Be sure to click the "Omit background
graphics from master" option and click "Apply".
