rip it to mp3 with complete track information . for window media player.
CDex is an excellent, freeware ripper with CDDB lookup (that's the feature
which adds all the track info.) http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/ This track
info will be displayed by Windows Media Player or any other media player

Can you tell me if there is a way to go back in and rip
files that I have already copied to Windows XP from my CD
collection that are already in WMA format. The issue when
I try to covert the files to .mp3 is that they are
protected content. I think XP has already gone out and
gotten the appropriate liceneses and blocks me from
converting to MP#.
Any help?

dBpowerAMP Music Converter can be used to convert wma files to mp3 http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm but to be honest, I don't know how
dBpowerAMP handles the whole wma license thing. You may be better off
just re-ripping the tunes from the original CDs.
