How do I Force browser to maximize?

I have just updated to WinXP Pro SP2 with IE6.
everytime I click a link in either my email or in the existing browser a new
window opens. That's fine, but it always opens as a small window (1/4 the
screen size)
How do I force new windows to open maximized automatically?

Hi,

IE (like all well educated Windows applications) retains the size and
position of the latest non maximized window that was closed. I suppose that
at some point the latets window that you closed was a popup.

You can close all IE windows but one, stretch its borders (but don't
maximize it!) and close it.

Or you could try IEmaximizer (http://www.jiisoft.com/iemaximizer/) that will
maximize all IE windows.
