How do I find my MAC address for my LAN network?

I am new to computing, how do I find my MAC address to help me to self
connect my network card to the local LAN in my apartment building?
 
start run and type

cmd

then type "ipconfig /all" (without the "")

you well then find the Physical Address = 00-34-KH-14-A0-09

the letter and numbers would be your MAC address.
