How do i filter email distribution groups?

we presently have many email distribution group lists set up in Microsoft
Outlook. We often send them to multiple groups and in many instances the same
person will be in multiple group lists. Is there a way to set up outlook so
that if we chose multiple groups it will send the email only once to each
person?

No. If you're lucky, the mail server will do that for you if you put all the
DLs in one message, but not all will do that.

Another reason to avoid big DLs, IMO.
