How do I enable links when it gives me general failure?

When I click a link in non-phishing messages it gives me general failure
http:/... not found and with office update it gives me cannot find browser
 
Are saying that if you click on a URL link in an email it states it can not connect to the server. Does it work if you copy and past that same link directly in your browser?
