How do I eliminate the space before a paragraph at top of page?

When a paragraph starts at the top of a page, Word sometimes carries over the
blank line that separates paragraphs. How do I eliminate this line at the
top of the page?

Use spacing as part of your paragraph style rather than press enter twice.

It sounds as if you are pressing Enter twice to create a "blank line."
Unlike WordPerfect, Word does not suppress these empty paragraphs at the top
of a page. It does, however, suppress Space Before at the top of a page. You
can easily add 12 pts Space Before (the equivalent of a "blank line") by
pressing Ctrl+0. For more exact settings, using the Format | Paragraph
dialog.
