You are reading from Windows Mail which reads and posts in HTML very nicely along with any modern news reader like Thunderbird and even Outlook Express. So what is your problem, or are you trying to change the subject?
You really do not want to do that. UAC is for your protection against things
being installed in the background without your knowledge. Keep the UAC
defaults and live with the minor annoyance of granting permissions. 'An
ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.'

Just as I thought - no point at all. You're not even trying to use a
different font or anything.

Okay, as you were n00b. Carry on..

Good God!

Talk about catering to the lowest common denominator.

That UAC pops up more than you can shake a stick at - incredibly annoying.

To disable UAC, follow these steps:
1) Open User Accounts.
2) Open YOUR user account
3) Uncheck "Use User Account Control" at the bottom of your Account
sheet.
4) "Ok" out.

"incredibly annoying"
Personally I do not fins a few times a week "incredibly annoying".
When I first installed RTM a few months ago, UAC came up a little more
often.
But now that the computer is set up, UAC is not an issue for me.
Also, as has been stated before, UAC has improved greatly since the Betas.
If you are using one of the pre-release builds, then I am more inclined to
agree with you, but now, UAC is a potential help and not a problem at all
for me.

I'm with you. I think UAC is a great feature. I would be concerned now if
I was able to do something administratively and I didn't get a UAC prompt.

I just got a new machine with Windows Vista and am having a problem deleting
a file from my desktop. I choose delete from the context menu and get the
following:

Delete File
Are you sure you want to move this file to the Recycle Bin? (Yes) (No)

(Yes)

Destination Folder Access Denied
You need to confirm this operation. (Continue) (Skip) (Cancel)

(Continue)

User Account Control
Windows needs your permission to continue (Continue) (Cancel)

(Continue)

Destination Folder Access Denied
You need permission to perform this action (Try Again) (Cancel)

(Try Again)

.... Endless loop until I give up.

How do I gain access to my own recycle bin?

Just turn off UAC and delete the file and then turn it back on after the
successful delete
